Christmas Day

Shelby's first Christmas was very nice. We got up at 9 am and opened presents from Santa. (I wonder if she'll take after Momma and start getting up at 2 am and not be able to go back to sleep...we probably have a few more years before that starts!) She loved unwrapping presents and can't wait until her birthday. :)

We spent the day with Grammy, Papa, and Uncle Kyle. She was so excited and couldn't take a nap until late in the afternoon. Here is a pic of Daddy and Shelby Christmas morning and one of her in her new highchair. She looks so tiny in it!

First Christmas Get Togethers

Yesterday, Shelby got to open her first Christmas presents. She enjoyed unwrapping them and tasting the pretty paper! Grandpa; Grandma; Uncle John and Aunt Nina; Uncle Jason, Aunt Brandie, and Kendell all came over to our house to celebrate the holidays. She was a little overwhelmed with all the excitement, but decided later when we were playing with the new toys that she kinda likes Christmas, afterall!

This morning, Shelby got to see a bunch of my family at the annual Gracy Christmas brunch. She seemed a little more relaxed and smiled at everyone. We did pretty well until it was time to leave. I think she was dissapointed that we had to go home.

Tomorrow is the big day! I think Momma and Daddy are more excited than Shelby! Of course, next year will be a different story.

Shelby 'n' Santa

Shelby went to visit Santa and she had a great time telling him what she wanted; along with pulling on his beard! She also tried out for a back-up reindeer position, but I don't know if he'll call for her help or not...

6 Month Pictures

We had our first family photos taken, along with Shelby's 6 month picture, on Monday. It went really well.

This past weekend Shelby turned 6 months old, found her feet, and hung out with Grandma on Sunday for a few hours while I went Christmas Shopping. Oh yeah, she also went shopping at the mall with mommy and daddy Saturday. Grammy babysat today so I could do some more shopping!
