Sitting Up

We had another fun-filled weekend. We went to the park Saturday and watched Daddy run his RC Car (I watched from the car and Shelby slept) Grandpa visited Saturday afternoon and Grammy and Papa came over Sunday evening to watch Desperate Housewives.

Today, Shelby and I went to Exploration Place with our friend Bonnie and 2 of her 3 boys: Kai and Cole. We had a lot of fun! She loved looking at all of the neat exhibits and playing.

She has been working on sitting up the last few days and is getting stronger. In fact, she sat for a bit on her own (with momma nearby) at Exploration Place! Here is a picture of her sitting on the couch last night.

Shelby weighs 13 lbs 6 oz. She has discovered her fingernails and enjoys scratching on everything. She recently stopped using the reflux medicine and is doing well. Her new form of communication is gargling. Now if I could only teach her to gargle a tune! :)

Playing cards

Well, we've determined that Shelby's going to like Vegas someday! She loved watching Mommy and Daddy playing cards last night. Check out this cute video!

The weekend was busy, considering how much snow we got. Friday night, Andy watched Shelby so I could go to a Stamping Up workshop. On Saturday, we all took Bella to the vet for her vaccinations. Everyone oooed and awwwwed over Shelby. :) Then in the evening, Andy and Papa watched Shelby so that Grammy and I could go to a Pampered Chef party. On Sunday, Grammy and Papa came over for our weekly Desperate Housewives get together. The snow sure didn't stop us from having a fun weekend!

Stuck Inside

We've been stuck inside for the past week or so. I think Shelby's doing okay, but I'm about to go a little stir-crazy! Grammy came over yesterday and watched Shelby for a few hours. Today, we had some fun taking silly pictures.

Happy New Years!

Shelby has decided she likes parties and staying up late. New Year's Eve, Andy's parents came over, along with Uncle Jeff for a while. Shelby made it past midnight and loved the fireworks daddy supplied. (courtesy of Uncle Chris Blue)

She now weighs 13 lbs and is starting to get kinda heavy. Can't wait til she's 20 lbs...

Some interesting things that have happened recently: said first "Goo Goo" (she really said it!); went to first restaurant - Hog Wild - and loved chatting with the people sitting next to us; sucked on her toes; and she rolled over from back to front in her crib for the first time. Momma found her like that with her arm stuck through one of the crib slats.

Here is a video of Shelby talking and sounding like a rooster.
